Is Russia an unsolved riddle? Learn more about life in Russia through my posts expressing personal views of a native-born Russian man
March 27, 2006
Two days ago mass-media announced that the man who who was initially pledged guilty in the crash in which the Altai region governor had died had been discharged. Honestly, It was a surprize to me. People are usually reluctant to struggle for their rights. In this particular situation it was a bit different. People (car owners, rather) got tired and irritated of 'big-deals' driving with their rotating beacons on and thinking that they may infringe all road and traffic rules. That's why this cased caused a lot of reaction - there were actions of protest in some of big cities all over Russia (they just drove out on streets - and autocades of protesters just blocked the traffic). It helped, finally as we can see.
